Google Search Console (GSC)
Google Search Console is a free tool from Google that shows how a site performs in search — impressions, clicks, average position, and indexing status — reported directly from Google's own data.
It's the most direct line available to how Google actually sees a site: which pages are indexed, which queries surface them, and whether anything is blocking crawling or indexing.
Its main limits are about precision rather than accuracy — position is reported as a blended average rather than a single verifiable rank, and data typically lags a few days behind real time.
