Rank Tracking

On its own, a single ranking check is just a snapshot. Tracking is what turns that into something useful: a history of movement that shows whether a page is climbing, holding steady, or slipping — and whether a change on the site (or by a competitor) actually moved the needle.

How a tool tracks rank varies. Some rely on data a search engine already reports (like Search Console's average position); others run live searches on a schedule to verify the position directly.
